Margaret Elizabeth Morrison

Margaret Elizabeth Morrison

Born 7-7-23, Margaret Elizabeth Morrison, passed on to another plain early Easter morning on April 5, 2015. Preceding her in their departure are her parents Jack and Lila Morrison. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth and grandson Domenick. In her early years, Peggy, as she liked to be called, was an accomplished singer - even hired for a spot on Lawrence Welk. She majored in Theatre Arts and Speech Therapy at the University of Michigan although Speech Therapy won out because of its practicality. She was a teach and speech therapist much of her life as well as proudly serving as a Christian Science nurse for her church. She was loved by many and never met a stranger. She was from strong sturdy stock - a Scot at heart - proudly announcing her heritage to anyone who crossed her path - sometimes even breaking out joyfully in a Scottish brogue. That was one of her many accents she performed to the delight of friends and family. She was a true entertainer. World traveler and highly spiritual, she came across many in need and gave generously. She had a delightful sense of humor and even as she was departing there was a sweet, broad smile on her face. Her warm, sunny ways will be deeply missed. In honor of my mom, if you would like to make a donation, please feel free to send your donations to Fern Lodge, A Christian Science Nursing facility, 18457 Madison Avenue Castro Valley, CA 94546, where she served many years ago and where she was lovingly cared for in her final days.
